We cooperate with communities, government agencies, philanthropic organizations, cultural institutions, professional associations and non-profits to save heritage in the most responsive and effective ways.
We engage in training for heritage stewards and emergency responders; staff stabilization operations for disasters; conduct research on the causes and mitigation of damage to heritage; and develop outreach activities to highlight needs and solutions to protect heritage threatened by disaster.
We aim to elevate the status of cultural heritage issues until they are an integral part of global conversation and action surrounding disaster risk management and emergency response.
We aim to help ensure that through intervention and action, cultural heritage is spared from destruction and continues to be accessible to the communities it represents.
We aim to foster the professional development of the global community involved with the protection, preservation, and stewardship of heritage and give them tools to use when a disaster puts their heritage at risk.
We aim to expand the knowledge and understanding of the causes and responses to cultural heritage destruction, informing strategic solutions and investments in action.
As our collective memory, cultural heritage represents the spirit and purpose of humanity.
Our projects include work in Haiti, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Mali, Nepal, Beirut, Ukraine, and the United States as well as disaster training for heritage colleagues, emergency responders, and military personnel at home and abroad.
