Funders

We acknowledge with gratitude the support we receive which ensures that the Smithsonian Cultural Rescue Initiative can continue to serve communities and their cultural stewards as they protect their heritage from the impact of disaster.

The Smithsonian Cultural Rescue Initiative is supported by an annual federal appropriation from Congress. It also receives funds from other U.S. government agencies for specific projects. Federal support is not sufficient, given the scale of the need. Grants and gifts from corporations, foundations, and individuals are crucial for advancing this work. The Smithsonian is grateful to the following supporters of the Cultural Rescue Initiative.
